TERM DEFINITION
blueprints A photographic print in white on a bright blue background or blue on white background used for copying maps, mechanical drawings, and architect's plans.
centrifugal force The force that tends to move an object away from the center of rotation.
cross section view A drawing representing the view as if it was  cut at right angles.
horizontal Something that is lying flat, like the horizon.
interchange A junction of two or more highways by a system of separate levels that permit traffic to pass from one to another without the traffic streams crossing.
Mylar A special plastic used for making drawings.
plan view A drawing of the top or horizontal view of an object. 
profile view A drawing showing the side or vertical section of an object.
scale-down Reduction according to a fixed ration.

three-dimensional

Having three dimensions; i.e. a cube length, width and height. Volume cube

two-dimensional Lacking depth, having only two dimensions; i.e. a square length and width.  
vellum A special paper, often made from the skin of a calf or lamb, previously used for drawing road plans.
vertical Something that is straight up and down.
